This is a fixed-term/secondment for 6 months. If you are an internal candidate on a substantive contract you may only apply for a secondment. Please ensure you have the support of your current line manager before applying. At the end of your secondment you will return to your current post at your current grade.

We’re looking for an experienced communications specialist to cover a maternity leave, initially on a six month contract and who can take up the role immediately.

The successful candidate will be able to make an instant contribution to the work of our Trust, using their knowledge, skills and experience to, for example, advise and influence project teams on internal and external communication, support business development activity, manage media relations and contribute to the development of our website and intranet.

Degree educated with up to date experience of working in a communications environment , preferably within the NHS, the successful candidate will have a good news sense, solid writing skills, imagination and the ability to work with colleagues across the Trust at all levels to improve communication. An understanding of indesign, photoshop and sharepoint would be advantageous.

We’re looking for someone who can present complex and sometimes sensitive information in a positive way to internal and external stakeholders and communicate major changes being implemented across our Trust..
