An appeal has been launched against Hertsmere Borough Council’s decision to turn down a contentious application to build nine Radlett flats.
The application to demolish 20 and 20a Christchurch Crescent and build nine two-bedroom flats was thrown out at the council’s planning committee on April 18.
However, applicant Real Time International is challenging the council’s decision and has submitted an appeal to The Planning Inspectorate.
The application was originally refused because the size, height, and mass of the proposed development would not be harmonious with the street scene and dominate the surrounding properties.
