THE deadline for the tourism awards for Dorset and the South West has been extended to 5pm on Friday July 5.
The honours are up for grabs in the Dorset Tourism Awards as well as the South West Tourism Excellence Awards.
Awards organiser Robin Barker, of Services for Tourism, said: āIām confident that the extra two weeks will ensure we attract the best entries as well as give early entrants the chance to check things over.ā
The awards celebrate excellence in tourism across the region and promote and reward leading businesses and individuals in the industry.
They are free to enter and there are 16 categories including pub, B&B, event, attraction, activity, hotel, holiday park and self catering holiday to awards for customer service, access, sustainable tourism and business tourism.
South West winners go on to represent the region at the national Visit England awards.
