THOUSANDS are expected to enjoy a taste of the 18th Century at the Milton Abbas street fair tomorrow.

The popular biennial event runs from 11am until 5pm and features over 140 stalls and a wide variety of entertainment for all ages.

The last three street fairs have managed to attract more than 7,000 people to the event and the organisers are hoping for another bumper crowd this time round as they make a special effort to celebrate the event’s 40th anniversary.

The Echo-backed events will see mascots Eddie and Eli join in the fun at the opening of the fair, which will also feature historical characters Lord and Lady Milton.

The fair will also include the launch of a new souvenir book celebrating Milton Abbas.

Portrait of a Village – Milton Abbas features images of the village and local countryside taken by photographer Daniel Rushall will be on sale with a special discount for Street Fair visitors.
