A GIRL was airlifted to hospital after a fall at Dorset coast.
The 11-year-old suffered injuries to her lower back in a fall off Agglestone Rock near Studland Bay yesterday afternoon.
She was airlifted to Poole Hospital by Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Portland Coastguard was called and coastguards from Swanage were sent to clear the area and allow the air ambulance to land.
Yesterday evening the coastguard was called out after a dog fell over the cliff at the Grove, Portland.
Lexus, a seven-year-old beagle, spent two hours over the side before its owner called Portland Coastguard.
The rescue team was about to carry out a cliff rescue when the dog reappeared over the top and was not injured.
