Have your say on joint housing strategy
4:00pm Thursday 12th September 2013 in News
PEOPLE still have time to have their say on a new joint housing strategy for West Dorset and Weymouth and Portland before the consultation ends.
These include: preventing and dealing with homelessness, building affordable homes, improving standards in the private rented sector, promoting energy efficiency in homes, and supporting vulnerable people with housing issues.
Councillor Robert Gould, leader of West Dorset District Council, said: “There is still plenty of opportunity for people to find out more about the strategy and make their voices heard. There are a number of drop-in sessions across West Dorset and I would encourage people to get involved.”
The eight-week consultation will finish on Monday, September 30.
A number of drop-in sessions for the public to find out more, ask questions and complete the consultation forms will take place on:
- Monday, September 16 2013 at Mountfield, Bridport, from 3pm to 7pm
- Monday, September 23 2013 at South Walks House, Dorchester, from 3pm to 7pm
- Thursday, September 26 council offices, North Quay, Weymouth, from 3pm to 7pm
