Lorry sheds 29 tonnes of rubble on A35 at Chideock
5:55pm Tuesday 17th September 2013 in News
MOTORISTS were faced with rush hour misery as a lorry shed its load on the A35.
The lorry had difficulty getting up Chideock hill due to the slippery road conditions in the rain and shed its load of 29 tonnes of rubble across the first and second lanes of traffic earlier this afternoon.
Dorset Police attended and a local farmer helped to move the rubble.
The local authority was called to clear up the road as the rubble dust and rain made the road slippery.
Police warned motorists to take care and expect possible delays due to congestion.
On the B3157 coast road a motorcyclist came off a red Triumph bike between West Bexington and Swyre at 5.25pm.
The biker's injuries are described as minor.
