Diane Hollings' tea party raises £450 for worthy causes
1:00pm Monday 23rd September 2013 in News
MONEY has been raised for good causes after a successful fundraising tea party hosted by Diane Hollings at her home in Wyke Regis.
It is the third year Mrs Hollings and friends have organised an event, and this year the money raised, £450, was split between Breast Cancer Care and the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust at Dorset County Hospital.
Mrs Hollings, who was helped by Mary Camp and June Timms, would like to thank everyone who attended on what was a ‘lovely sunny day’.
As well as tea, scones and cakes being served there was a raffle with 50 prizes and a competition, which helped to raise more funds.
The Rev Roger Butcher of All Saints Church drew the raffle tickets and said prayers.
