WEYMOUTH’S Business Improvement District (BID) group is turning back the clock by bring back a popular Christmas event.
The Victorian Shownight will be held on Friday December 6, replacing the Weymouth Sparkle. It will also incorporate the switching on of Weymouth’s festive lights.
BID manager Nigel Reed, left, said: “We want to revamp the Victorian Shownight.
“We’re going to have it on the Friday night instead of the Thursday because we won’t want to clash with the Dorchester Christmas Cracker on December 5.”
Mr Reed said the Victorian Shownight would grow into a three day ‘Christmas festival’ within one or two years.
The BID is also developing a Halloween shopping event for October 31.
