Residents are invited to the annual United Nations Day service in Weymouth.
The service will include the raising of the UN Flag followed by speeches from the mayor, President of the Weymouth and Portland Lions Club, Mr Richard Burgess and a reading, prayers and rededication of the tree led by Reverend Ian Hopes (Team Rector for Radipole and Melcombe Regis).
Mayor of Weymouth and Portland Cllr Ray Banham said: “It is with great pride that I have the opportunity to host this important borough civic service to recognise United Nations Day and acknowledge the outstanding work carried out by the UN.”
The mayor will be joined by representatives of local business groups, friends of the parks and gardens and borough councillors.
For those attending the United Nations service parking will be available at the Radipole tennis courts at the end of the borough gardens.
