Motorcyclist dies following crash

A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a collision with a lorry this morning.
The accident happened at the junction of Gravel Hill and Queen Anne Drive in Poole.
The accident was reported around 7.50am.
Investigations are focussing on a Tetley's delivery lorry, a white van and the motorcycle. Next of kin have not yet been informed.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they were called to attend the scene at around 7.55am, and one fire engine from Poole attended the scene.
A spokesperson for South West Ambulance Service said that a call was made to them at 7.45am to a report of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a lorry on Gravel Hill.
They confirmed that there was one casualty in the collision and this was a male motorcycle rider who was described as middle-aged.
The rider suffered a cardiac arrest at the scene and was taken to Poole Hospital by the road ambulance at around 7.59am.
Gravel Hill has now reopened after almost five hours, a Borough of Poole spokesperson confirmed.
