A DORCHESTER group is dancing for joy after receiving a £300 donation.
Wheel Keep Dancing, which offers dances classes for wheelchair users of all ages, has been awarded the grant from the Mars Milk Fund.
The classes feature a range of dance styles including Latin, ballroom and group dances taught by Wheelchair Dance Sport Asso-ciation UK qualified instructors.
Angie Golding, founder and secretary of the group, said: “As far as we are aware we are the only group providing wheelchair dancing classes in West Dorset.
“As a result, we are becoming increas-ingly popular.
“However, as we are a new and voluntary group, we are struggling to cover our costs.
“With this donation from the Mars Milk Fund we will now be able to cover the cost of ten weeks of hall hire enabling us to continue offering wheelchair dance classes into 2014.”
