Voice opinions on ward changes
1:00pm Friday 25th October 2013 in News
There are just a few days left to have your say on how new ward boundaries should be drawn across West Dorset.
The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is carrying out an electoral review of West Dorset which means re-drawing ward boundaries across the whole district.
The commission will consider all views put to it during the consultation and aims to publish draft recommendations for new ward boundaries for West Dorset District Council in February 2014.
In September, the commission agreed that the council should have 43 councillors in future – five fewer.
Max Caller, chairman of the commission, said: “We will consider every submission we receive before we draw up draft recommendations. We will then open another phase of consultation on those proposals in a few months.
Consultation closes on November 11 – write to: The Review Officer (West Dorset), Layden House, 76-86 Turnmill Street, London EC1M 5LG or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
