AN ADRENALINE-fuelled couple are rising to fame after appearing on Channel 4’s Rude Tube.

Base jumpers Sam Hardy, 24, from Dorchester and partner Karlee Ayers, 26, from California, are gaining the reputation of ‘the world’s most daring couple’ after their base jumping videos premiered on television.

The couple say that experiencing death-defying moments together strengthens their relationship.

Sam, who went to The Thomas Hardye School, said: “I was stoked seeing the video on Channel 4 and felt proud of myself, but also I knew how much time and money I had dedicated into becoming what I am now and achieving some of the things I have done.

"There are only about 2,000 active base jumpers in the world and maybe 50 wingsuit base jumpers.

“This sport is only for a handful of people, but the best step to take first would be to learn to skydive and if that’s not for you, maybe take up painting, golf or fishing.”

The couple, who call themselves ‘Los Bandidos’ first met at a skydiving centre in California and now spend most of their time jumping off exit points throughout the world as well as tall build ings. Sam and Karlee are both full time skydiving instructors teaching freefly, wingsuit and tandem masters jumping.

Sam started jumping at 17 in Madrid but continued his climbing and kayaking guide jobs in France, Africa and Nepal before returning to skydiving.

He now has three years’ full time experience, 1,500 jumps to his name and a passion for wing suiting and base jumping.

He added: “Karlee started skydiving at 17 and you could say she was born into it, because her whole family jumps too.

“She now has eight years’ experience with over 6,000 jumps and three world records to her name.”

The couple filmed their exploits over the last year capturing their breathtaking base jumps.

They have now signed a contract with EpicTV and their videos have become incredibly popular on YouTube.

They say a highlight of their stunts was jumping off a building on New Year’s Eve during the countdown at 350 ft – the same height as the fireworks.
