EMERGENCY services were called to the A37 at Dorchester after a tractor towing a trailer overturned.

Dorset Fire and Rescue alerted Dorset Police to the incident at 9.25am today.

The green and yellow John Deere tractor, registered to a Dorchester company, overturned close to the Weir Roundabout on the B3147.

The road, which leads to the A37 from The Grove in Dorchester town centre, was closed at 9.42am.

The vehicle was lifted at 10.08am and the road was reopened.
