BRIDPORT Camera Club members submitted more than 100 images for judging at the club’s second competition of the season at Chancery House.

Judges John and Marjorie Aird from Beaminster said it was a mammoth task to choose the best out of 57 prints and 63 digital images.

Mrs Aird said: “We were looking for quality and composition in an image presented on quality mounts.”

The couple took the time to give all entries positive and useful feedback. Mrs Aird’s winners in the B print section were: 1. Sheena O’Donoghue with Hi there; 2. David Parnell with Cenotaph; 3. Sheena O’ Donoghue for Cheetah. Catherine Wilson’s The Potter was highly commended as was Antony Wilsdon’s Scary Cat and Sheena O’Donoghue’s Home Sweet Home.

Mr Aird said the quality of entries in the A print section was so high he had a hard time picking winners.

In the end it the results were: 1. Ian Friend for his Osprey in flight with Trout; 2. John Faulkes’ Eventide; 3. Andy White’s Remnants of a Proud Fishing Fleet.

Mr Aird’s digital results were: 1. Carol Tritton, Airborne; 2. Shirley Johnson, An Autumn Medley; 3. Shirley Johnson, Ummm Interesting!
