TWO people have been killed in a crash between a car and two lorries.

The A31 was closed between Bere Regis and the Roundhouse roundabout, Sturminster Marshall, for several hours on Monday evening. It has since reopened.

Dorset Police said the collision at Red Post, Winterborne Zelston, was reported at just after 5.20pm Monday.

A yellow Seat Ibiza travelling westbound was in collision with two HGVs travelling eastbound.

Both occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they would like to thank motorists for their patience while the road was closed.
