A BABY played baby Jesus in his town’s live nativity a few hours after he was baptised.
Sunday was a big day for Rupert Forbes, who is four-and- a-half months old, and for his parents Kate and Matthew who played Mary and Joseph at the same event.
The family became involved in the live nativity through Swanage’s All Saints Church.
Mrs Forbes said Rupert got baptised in the morning, a family celebration followed then they took part in the nativity at 5pm.
She said it was a ‘great honour’ for Rupert to play the part.
She added: “Every year the church has held a nativity at Godlingston Manor Farm, with live characters and animals.”
The Forbes have been taking Rupert to All Saints Church’s ‘Breakfast @ 9’ service since he was four weeks old.
Kate, assistant headteacher at Bournemouth’s Bourne Academy school, said: “He’s the smallest baby in the congregation and obviously gets some attention.”
