FIREFIGHTERS were called to a ford to help a motorist who was stranded in a car in moving water.
A 999 call was made to the ford at East Holme, at 7.30am, where an Audi car was stuck in the water.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service's Technical Rescue crews from Poole attended along with engines from Wareham and Bere Regis.
The response was stood down when the motorist was eventually able to release himself from the car into 3ft deep water and wade to safety.
