Dorset Echo: Police wish you a safe Christmas with crime advice Police wish you a safe Christmas with crime advice

POLICE in Dorchester are urging residents to keep their properties safe and secure this Christmas.

Simple measures such as leaving valuables out of sight, keeping curtains closed when lights are on and ensuring that windows and doors are locked will help to deter opportunistic burglars.

All valuables should also be kept out of sight in vehicles to help prevent vehicle crime.

To arrange a visit by a member of Dorset Police's Safer Neighbourhood Team, who can give advice, call Dorset Police on 101 or go along and meet the team at Tesco in Dorchester on Saturday, December 21 between 10am-1pm.
