HAS street artist Banksy struck again in Weymouth?

Two new graffiti art pieces have appeared across the Christmas week in Chapelhay.

Both feature a small child sitting on top of a TV which has the words ‘Weapon of Mass Distraction’ across it.

The first appeared on the Chapelhay steps and is red and the second is further down the steps close to the Waffle On shop by the Town Bridge.  The second is grey.

Councillor Dan Brember noticed the art and sent us a picture. He said: “For what it's worth, I think Weymouth needs more public art.”

At the end of November Weymouth resident Esmee Nicholls spotted a Banksy style painting on the bridge at Littlemooor Road overlooking the Weymouth Relief Road.

It featured a figure holding paint pots with the words ‘Money makes the world go wrong.’

What do you think? Do you think guerrilla graffiti artist Banksy is behind this latest creation?
