Dorset Echo: Christmas draw benefits RNLI Christmas draw benefits RNLI

A CHRISTMAS draw has again benefited the RNLI in Weymouth. Members of Weymouth Sailing Club, on Nothe Parade, organise a draw every year with the proceeds going to the RNLI.

The 2013 draw took place at the club on New Year’s Day and raised £340 for the charity.

Sailing club member and draw organiser Lynn Capp handed over the money to Lifeboat Operations Manager for the station John Harvey.

He thanked Lynn and all the members of the sailing club for their continuing support of the charity saying: “It is money collected by members of clubs and the public which enables the RNLI to carry on with its lifesaving at sea.”
