AFTER a successful first year, the Dorchester Triathlon is returning on Sunday, May 25.

The event was launched at the Dorchester Sports Centre last year to great acclaim.

It starts at 8am and will see athletes swim 16 lengths, or 400m, of the pool before heading out of Dorchester via Poundbury on a 24km cycle route taking in Hardy’s Monument.

They will then return to the Coburg Road sports centre and start on a 5km run, taking them past Maiden Castle.

Entry to the event costs £33 for affiliated athletes and £38 for unaffiliated.
