A Land Rover Discovery car was destroyed and an empty horse box it was towing slightly damaged in a fire.

Firefighters alerted to tackle the blaze in Sherborne yesterday also had to mop up a diesel spill after the vehicle’s fuel tank ruptured.

The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
