THIEVES stole two motorbikes and other items after breaking into rural buildings in Purbeck.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following the burglary at Kingston Hill, Worth Matravers near Swanage.

Offenders forced entry into two outbuildings and caravans and stole two scrambler bikes, siphoned fuel from other vehicles and took various tools.

One of the motorbikes, a 140cc Demon, is white and has a distinctive leopard print seat. The other one is a 140cc Welsh Pitbike.

PC Alex Macey, of Purbeck police, said: “I am now able to release a picture of the two stolen bikes.

“I urge anyone who witnessed the burglary, has seen anything suspicious in the area at the time or has information about those responsible to contact Dorset Police.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the bikes or has been offered such items in strange circumstances or for an unusually low price.”

The burglary happened sometime between 8.30pm on January 5 and 5.30am on January 6.

Call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 06:38.
