A WEYMOUTH man has been told there is ‘every prospect’ that he will receive a jail sentence after he admitted two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Rhys Edward Ellard, of Cobham Drive, admitted charges of assaulting Sean McKenna and Matthew Sobacchi on September 15 last year when he appeared at Dorchester Crown Court.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and Ellard, 20, was bailed to return to court on March 3.
Judge Roger Jarvis told the defendant: “As you I’m sure are very well aware you have made admissions now to very serious matters.
“You will get full credit for your early guilty plea but nevertheless there is every prospect of a sentence of imprisonment.
“But before I make up my mind finally I want to know more about you and I’m going to require the preparation of a pre-sentence report.”
