A car went into a lorry in Fortuneswell.
Firefighters said two vehicles were involved in the incident which happened at 10.05am.
Three fire crews attended the scene to deal with a car that had gone into the back of a lorry.
Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to free one male who was trapped.
Officers reported a lot of traffic in the area and a diversion was put in place up the High Street.
Eyewitnesses said it looked like a red car had hit a delivery van in the road close to the Co-op store and firefighters helped to free the driver.
