TEN-YEAR-OLD Nelly Wade’s talent will be on show to a very wide audience as it is gracing the programme cover for this year’s Bridport Panto’s Sleeping Beauty.

The panto itself is a long-established town tradition, this being the 49th Bridport Pantomime Players’ production. But this is only the second time the panto players have turned to youngsters to illustrate their play.

St Mary’s pupil Nelly’s entry was one of more than 50 judged by Bridport Mayor Coun Maggie Ray.

Her other favourites are on display at Bridport Tourist Information Centre in Bucky Doo Square.

Sleeping Beauty will be performed from Wednesday February 5 to Saturday February 8 at 7.30pm with a Thursday matinee at 1.30pm and a Saturday matinee at 2pm at the Electric Palace.

Tickets are now on sale at Bridport Tourist Information – adults £8, child, under 12 £6, all tickets £6 on premier night, Wednesday.
