A BEAUTY queen is urging people to get involved in an online pageant to help others.

Danni De-Bear wants residents to sign up to Natural Charm, a fundraising initiative for people of all ages, including pets.

Money raised will go towards the MS Trust.

The Piddlehinton fundraiser, who works as a carer, has raised thousands for the Weymouth RNLI Lifeboat and Julia’s House in the past.

She currently holds the title of Miss Cyberface 2013 and was first runner-up as well as Miss Beautiful Character in Face of Purity 2013.

This year she is in the final selections for Team England for Miss European 2014 and in the finals for Miss Fresh Face next week.

The 21-year-old said: “I am running this online pageant as a bit of fun for the entire family including the family pet.

“I am raising money and awareness about multiple sclerosis, the most common disease affecting the nervous system.

“I am doing this as part of the Miss Fresh Face pageant that I am entering in February.”

Categories in Natural Charm include Tiny Tot, Little Miss, Miss Natural Charm, Mr Natural Charm and Furry Friend.”

It costs £2 per photo entry or £5 for three photos.

Miss De-Bear added that the competition will be judged by three or five independent people with connections to the pageant industry.

Winners will receive an online certificate, sash and tiara, with a special prize for the furry friend.

The MS Trust is a UK charity, providing information for anyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) including MS symptoms and treatments.

Miss De-Bear chose the charity after working with MS sufferers through her job.

Dorset Echo reporter Samantha Harman is among those competing for Miss Natural Charm 2014.

She said: “Since I started at the Echo people have been mistaking me for a model, so I thought it was about time to do something like this.

“My philosophy is ‘every road is a runway’ and I’ve got the perfect shaped head for a tiara. I’m joking – it’s all a bit of fun in the name of a worthy cause and as many natural charmers as possible should get involved to raise money.”
