A CARE home is hosting a fashion show to help women over 55 look and feel their best.

Highclere House in Cross Lane, Weymouth, will be hosting a free workshop showcasing style secrets for mature women.

Stylists and beauty pro-fessionals will demonstrate clothes and products that help people to feel fabulous during the long winter days.

Style specialists including Vicki Gray, colour consultant with House of Colour and Helen Walker of Breeze Salon, will share their top tips at the ‘Colour and Style Night’ on January 28 from 5pm to 7.30pm, which is free to attend. There will be samples and demonstrations of nail, hair and beauty treatments provided by beauty therapist students from Weymouth College.

And there will be a House of Colour voucher worth £110 for a Colour Analysis Class for one lucky person to win on the night.

Home manager Helen Holden said: “True style is to do with identity, having fun and enjoying life. It’s nothing to do with looking younger, we can all look our best no matter our age.”

She added: “Sometimes older women lack the confidence to dress how they really want to.

“This event is all about empowering women to wear the clothes and colours they love and sharing the secrets of looking fabulous in our own skin.

“The event is free and open to everyone so I’d like to welcome everyone down to Highclere House for a fantastic evening of colour and style.”

The £7million care home, which is run by Gracewell Healthcare, opened last year and created 75 new jobs.
