Staff absence levels on the rise
Some 16 per cent of Small and Medium Enterprise bosses in the South West say that staff absence levels have risen in the last year, according to the latest research by Close Brothers Asset Finance.
The research, which canvasses the opinion of SME owners from a variety of sectors across the UK, revealed that more than a quarter of respondents in the region believe that their organisation has a problem with staff abusing sick leave.
