A COMMUNITY event will remember the victims of the Holocaust in Dorchester.
Members of the public are invited to join schoolchildren, councillors and speakers at the Holocaust Memorial Day event at the Corn Exchange from 12.30pm on Friday.
The event has been organised by the South West Dorset Multi Cultural Network.
Chairman Anne Marie Vincent said: “We’re looking forward to our community coming together to remember Holocaust victims and those whose lives have been affected by exclusion and hatred in subsequent genocides.”
Speakers will include Harry Grenville, a local man who came to Britain as part of the Kindertransport, and there will be contributions from the Thomas Hardye School and Sunninghill School.
The Corn Exchange open at noon and refreshments are free.
