Coastguards rescue man stuck in drainage ditch
A MAN has been taken to hospital after getting stuck in a drainage ditch near Ferrybridge.
Coastguards said the man was walking from Weymouth to Portland at around 1.30am last night when he became stuck in the ditch on the Portland Harbour side of the road at Hamm Beach.
He was in the ditch for around half an hour before phoning emergency services for help.
A Portland Coastguard spokesman said: "Paramedics also attended and he was taken to hospital for treatment as he was suffering from the cold."
