STAND up and television chat show host Alan Carr will be performing in Lyme Regis at the start of March.

Carr, pictured right, most famous for his Channel 4 show Chatty Man, will be appearing at The Marine Theatre as part of his Work in Progress Tour, on Friday, March 7. Tim Bell, co-director at the Marine Theatre, said the prospect of Alan Carr performing at the Marine Theatre had been in the pipeline for a number of months.

He said: “We are really overjoyed that Alan Carr will be performing at the Marine Theatre.

“The Marine Theatre is becoming a venue that artists with a national profile come down to sample a bit of Dorset in this great town and where they feel they can try out new material.

“It comes on the back of having Jon Richardson and Jo Brand performing here and I am pleased that they are choosing the Marine Theatre, and that we are associated with these comedians.

Tickets go on sale today, and will be priced £13.50 plus £1.50 booking fee.
