A WOMAN had to be cut free from her car after a collision in Weymouth yesterday evening.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service sent two crews from Weymouth to the scene of the collision at around 6.45pm yesterday following reports of a two-vehicle collision at the junction of Corporation Road and Links Road in Westham.
Firefighters then used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of one of the vehicles and free a woman who was trapped inside.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said the incident involved a blue Renault Megane and a red Nissan Pixo, with the female casualty cut free from the Renault.
She was taken to Dorset County Hospital by ambulance but it was not believed that she suffered serious injuries.
