HAMPSHIRE Police will lead the investigation into a fatal crash on the A31 near Ringwood.
The force will look into the collision last Wednesday in which 31-year-old Daniel Robins, from Bournemouth, was killed, after the matter was considered by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
Mr Robins was one of two motorcyclists involved in a collision with a horse at Picket Post at 6.15pm. Police had responded to reports of a horse loose on the carriageway.
Officers were advising motorists to proceed with caution regarding the possibility of animals in the carriageway and that element of the incident was referred to the IPCC.
