GREEN-fingered people are invited to help transform a popular recreational ground in Weymouth.
The Friends of Lodmoor Country Park will be planting hundreds of native foxglove plants that they have raised at home.
Susan Baillie, of the Friends group, said: “Our willing volunteers cannot do this alone. The green-fingered lads from Weymouth and Portland Borough Council’s Parks Department will be wielding the trowels and getting their hands dirty for all our benefit.”
Everyone is welcome to attend the event and take part.
Anyone wishing to get involved should bring their own trowel and meet at the children’s play area at the park at 10.30am on Tuesday, February 21.
