Police are appealing for witnesses after a number plate was stolen from a parked car in Bridport.
The incident happened sometime between 3pm on Saturday, January 25 and 11am the next day.
Thieves stole the front number plate from a vehicle which was parked on Folly Mill Lane.
Police constable Neil Gauden, of Bridport police, said: “This theft has caused great inconvenience to the owner of the car and will be costly to replace.
“Anyone with information is urged to call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.”
No arrests have been made.
