GET ready for prom season with a showcase of vehicles, clothing and accessories.

Budmouth College will be holding its annual Prom Show on Tuesday, February 11 from 6.30pm to 9pm.

The event, which is organised by students, is open to everyone to come and get some inspiration for this year’s school proms.

There will be two catwalk shows, where visitors will be able to see some of the dresses and suits available and there will be hair and beauty demonstrations throughout the evening at the various stalls.

Last year The Hub at Budmouth College was packed as prom fans descended on the school for the show.

The idea behind the event, which sees companies from car hire to hair and make-up set up stalls, is to take the stress out of prom.

Students are able to use the one-stop-shop to get ideas for what they want for the big evening.

The event saw limousines, classic cars and even a fire truck lined up outside the venue while inside racks of colourful dresses and suits lined the walls.

There were stalls with everything from hair and nail ideas to tailoring, fake tans, eyelashes and flowers.

But the centrepiece of the evening was the catwalk where students modelled dresses, suits, make-up and hair styles.

A donation from this year’s show will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal for people affected by the Philippines typhoon.

Jane Taylor, the behaviour support leader for Year 7 and 11 at the college, encouraged everyone to come along and said that everything people needed for prom would be ‘under one roof.’
