A DORSET beauty queen is proving a hit in one of Europe’s fastest growing pageants.

Danni De-Bear, 21, has been selected as one of the 10 young women to make it into Team England as part of the annual Miss European contest.

The chosen 10 will now compete to represent England for the overall winner’s title Miss European.

There are 10 countries aiming to win the top spot, currently held by Engl-and’s Kerry Anne Vinson.

Danni, who lives in Piddlehinton, said: “I’m in shock about being selected – it’s a real honour.

“The final 10 are taken to Ireland for a week and we take part in activities throughout the year.”

Organisers say Miss European is not just about beauty on the outside but also on the inside.

Each contestant gets a sash with some individual prizes up for grabs.

The Team England selection took place in Kent with rounds including a clubwear round, a swimwear round and also evening wear.

The final part involved making a speech.

Danni currently holds the title of Miss Cyberface 2013 and was first runner-up as well as Miss Beautiful Character in Face of Purity 2013.

She is even running her own pageant called Natural Charm to raise money for the MS Trust.
