THE process of 3D printing will be revealed at an event at the Dorset County Museum.
Peter Brugger, a PhD archaeology student at Southampton University, will be at the museum on Tuesday, February 18 to demonstrate 3D printing.
He will show how a three dimensional plastic model is built up layer by layer using a high-tech 3D printer and explain how he hopes to use the technology for his scanning and recreating archaeological objects.
People will be able to see Peter working on a project at the museum from 10am and throughout the day he will be happy to discuss the procedure with visitors.
He will then give a final talk at 2.30pm.
Entry will be free but donations are encouraged.
