A JURY has dismissed claims that a Bridport man sexually assaulted a young girl.
Trevor Billy Symonds, of Happy Island Way, has been standing trial at Dorchester Crown Court after denying a charge of sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.
He was accused of an offence involving an eight-year-old girl between November 2010 and November 2011.
The 30-year-old was cleared of the charge after the jury delivered its not guilty verdict on the third day of the trial.
