A GARDENING project at a Dorset school is set to grow and grow following a generous donation.
The Piddle Valley First School has received a cheque for £400 from the Dorset Gardens Trust so it can buy a poly tunnel to add to its already blossoming school garden.
The school holds a weekly gardening club as well as a forest school and the poly tunnel will enable pupils to have a go at propagating their own seedlings as well as having fun with growing some more exotic plants and herbs.
The donation from the Dorset Gardens Trust was presented to the school by its chairman Rosemary Agg.
Parent volunteer at Piddle Valley First School Minnow Walker said the school was very grateful to the Trust for its contribution and added that it had more fundraising ideas in the pipeline.
She said: “Our next fundraising idea for the gardening club is a cook book.”
