Walker in trouble airlifted to hospital by Coastguard helicopter
PORTLAND Coastguard helicopter was scrambled to rescue a walker with a suspected broken ankle near Weymouth.
The helicopter airlifted the man, who was walking along a coastal path near Ringstead Bay, because the road was difficult to reach by ambulance.
The man was taken to the accident and emergency unit at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester shortly after 11am this morning.
