YOUNGSTERS at a Weymouth school and nursery spent the day learning more about Weymouth Food Bank.
Lily and Bob Mockett were inspired by Christianity to make sure no-one goes hungry in the area.
They set up the food bank to help struggling people in Weymouth.
Teacher Corinne March said: “The children of Wyke Regis Infant School and Nursery welcomed Mr and Mrs Mockett to learn about this local charity.”
The kind-hearted youngsters then donated a huge amount of food as part of their Harvest Festival celebration to the cause.
They also attended a packed All Saint’s Church in Wyke Regis for a Harvest celebration led by The Rev Deb Smith.
Ms March added: “We enjoyed lots of harvest songs and poems by the children.
“Parents donated generously to the charity Waves.”
