FASHION designer Anya Hindmarch is fronting a new Entrepreneur in Residence scheme being launched by a Dorset school.

The scheme has been devised to celebrate and support Milton Abbey School’s historic culture of entrepreneurial ambition and talent.

Anya, pictured right, will be partnering the scheme and offering advice and guidance to pupils interested in pursuing a career in business – and will also be supporting and adjudicating a competition which will involve an initial start-up investment.

The competition winner will receive a £2,000 cash prize, along with the opportunity to spend a week on work experience with Anya Hindmarch.

Anya has grown her brand of stylish and high quality handbags and accessories from one store in London’s Walton Street to 58 stores globally.

In 2009, she was awarded an MBE for her contribution to the British fashion industry.

Her current responsibilities include acting as a UK Trade Ambassador and she is also non-executive director of the British Fashion Council.

The school says it is looking forward to welcoming Anya to Milton Abbey, and working with her on special projects.
