Weymouth residents warned of telephone preference service scam
Weymouth residents are being warned about a company offering telephone preference services.
It has been brought to the attention of Dorset Police that people in the Weymouth area have been receiving telephone calls from a company with a similar name to The Telephone Preference Service.
The company is offering to stop unwanted calls for a sum of money.
A spokesman said: “Please be wary of these offers as they often supply a useless piece of equipment or a non-service. The Telephone Preference Service is free and also covers mobile numbers.”
