A woman was assaulted by a hooded stranger in Shaftesbury.
The local woman, in her 30s, was walking in the area of Nettlecombe and Ten Acres at around 11.15pm on Tuesday, February 11, when she was approached by an unknown man who attacked her.
She was able to fight the man off and escape, and was uninjured during the incident.
Her assailant was described as approximately 6ft tall and of slim build, wearing distinctive work boots and a hood.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.
