YOUNGSTERS will be trying to crack a dinosaur mystery in Dorchester over half-term.
The Dinosaur Museum in the county town is running the Great Dinosaur Half-Term Hunt all week until Sunday, February 23.
The venue will be open every day from 10am to 4pm with youngsters encouraged to explore the museum and search out the answers to the clues of the dinosaur mystery.
They will encounter an exciting mix of fossils, skeletons and life-sized dinosaur reconstructions as well as hands on interactive displays and videos.
Museum curator Tim Batty said: “The Great Dinosaur Hunt is fun for kids with special dinosaur explorer sheets to help them unravel the puzzle.
“All those children who correctly crack the code and solve the dinosaur mystery will win a special dinosaur hunter’s certificate and sticker.”
He added: “The Dinosaur Museum is a great place for the family whatever the weather.
“There are plenty of things to see and do at this family attraction.
“Life-size reconstructions of dinosaurs, including Deinonychus, Stegosaurus, a young T-Rex and of course the Triceratops outside beg to be touched.
“In addition to this there are skeletons of Megalosaurus, Hypsilophodon, and Ichthyosaurus amongst others, skulls of Allosaurus, Camptosaurus and Iguanodon, and a variety of fossils.
“Then there are hands on and interactive displays to absorb and amuse children.”
