CRIME writer Minette Walters will be in the county town tomorrow to officially open the Dorchester Library and Learning Centre.

The local author will be the guest of honour at a ceremony involving a plaque unveiling in front of dignitaries, library customers and staff.

The South Walks library opened in July last year and has already attracted more than 1,000 new library members.

Guided tours of the facility will also be held tomorrow afternoon at 2.15pm, 2.45pm, 3.15pm and 3.45pm for people to find out more about what the new library has to offer.
